Meet the Counselors

Hello!!! My name is Kelly Delagardelle and I am the school counselor at North Polk Middle School.  This is my third year here at North Polk, but I have been a school counselor since 2005. My wife Edana, daughter Isabella and I have lived in Polk City for seven years.  I am originally from a small town in Northern Iowa, but moved to Ames, Iowa in high school.  I attended Iowa State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Political Science.  While in college, I volunteered at the nearby elementary and through those opportunities I developed a passion for working with kids.  This brought me to getting my Master’s of Education in Counseling and Administration - all from Iowa State University.

Hello! This is my third year as a School Counselor at North Polk. I grew up in Hinton, Iowa. I graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University where I majored in elementary education and played basketball. I taught 5th Grade for 4 years in the Ankeny Community School District. While teaching, I completed my Master’s Degree in Professional School Counseling at Buena Vista University. I live in Ankeny with my husband Colton and goldendoodle Mya. I am looking forward to a great school year!
